UNIFORM PATROL
the backbone of the agency, members of the patrol bureau safeguard our city and residents 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Traffic Enforcement
this unit conducts high-visibility traffic enforcement, dui saturation patrols, and more. they are also responsible for the investigation of traffic homicide incidents.
Criminal Investigations
the criminal investigations division is a general assignment unit, following up on everything from theft and burglary to robberies and homicides. they are supported by full-time crime scene investigators and a crime analyst.
Swat team
clermont police department participates in the mid-florida swat team, which is comprised of members from Leesburg, Mount Dora, Groveland, and Eustis Police Departments. It has 30 team members and is classified as a Tier 2 team per NTOA standards
Training & Recruiting
The training & recruiting unit is responsible for identifying, selecting, & processing the next generation of clermont police officers. they also administer on-going training of current clermont officers, as well as the field training program.
k-9 unit
the clermont police department k-9 unit consists of two k-9 officers and their handlers. k-9 pike is a full-service dog, trained in narcotics detection and suspect apprehension. k-9 juno is trained in explosives detection and the location and recovery of missing persons.
community services
The community services division partners with the community to establish a working relationship between the public and cpd. members are active in local events and programs to benefit the community we serve in the form of outreach programs, mental health and crisis intervention, and more.
